Delstrigo

Before taking this medicine

Do not take Delstrigo if you have previously had an allergic reaction to lamivudine, or if you take medicines that strongly increase CYP3A enzyme activity. These can lower doravirine levels and make Delstrigo less effective. Examples include carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, enzalutamide, rifampin, rifapentine, mitotane and St. John’s wort. This is not a complete list. Delstrigo can cause new or worsening kidney problems. Kidney function and urine tests are needed before or when starting treatment and during treatment. Avoid use with medicines that can damage the kidneys, including those used recently. Severe skin reactions have been reported, including Stevens–Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis and DRESS, a drug reaction that can affect internal organs. Stop taking Delstrigo immediately if signs or symptoms of a severe skin reaction develop. Bone density monitoring may be needed if you have a history of fractures caused by weakened bones or other risk factors for osteoporosis or bone loss. Monitoring for immune reconstitution syndrome is also needed. Delstrigo is not recommended for children weighing less than 35 kg.
