About Dojolvi
Overview
Dojolvi contains triheptanoin, a medium-chain triglyceride. It provides calories and fatty acids for adults and children with long-chain fatty acid oxidation disorders (LC-FAOD) confirmed by genetic testing. It works by supplying fatty acids that bypass the affected enzyme steps, providing an alternative source of energy.

Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects include abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. Each was reported in at least 10% of patients. Feeding tube problems are a warning: if you use a feeding tube, check it regularly for damage and proper function. Dojolvi should be avoided in people with pancreatic insufficiency, because low or absent pancreatic enzymes may reduce its absorption.

Interactions
