Before taking this medicine

Do not take Stendra (avanafil) if you: • Use any organic nitrate medicine. • Take a guanylate cyclase (GC) stimulator, such as riociguat or vericiguat. • Are allergic to avanafil or any ingredient in the tablet. • Have severe kidney or liver impairment. • Have been advised that sexual activity is unsafe because of your heart or blood vessel health, or for any other reason. Taking avanafil with alpha-blockers, other blood pressure medicines or substantial amounts of alcohol (more than 3 units) may cause low blood pressure. If you have previously had non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), avanafil should be used cautiously and only if the expected benefits outweigh the risks. A “crowded” optic disc may also increase the risk of NAION. Seek emergency treatment if an erection lasts more than 4 hours. Stop taking avanafil and seek medical care if you suddenly lose vision in one or both eyes. Stop taking it and seek prompt medical attention if your hearing suddenly decreases or is lost.
