About Acuvail
Overview
Acuvail is a prescription eye medicine containing ketorolac tromethamine, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), supplied in a single-dose vial. It is used to treat pain and inflammation following cataract surgery. It is thought to work by reducing the production of prostaglandins.

Side effects
The most common side effects, reported in 1% to 6% of patients, were increased pressure inside the eye, bleeding under the clear membrane covering the white of the eye, and blurred vision. Contact your doctor if you experience delayed healing, an allergic or sensitivity reaction, increased or prolonged bleeding, or problems affecting the cornea, including inflammation (keratitis). These are potentially serious side effects.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.
Before taking this medicine
Do not use Acuvail if you have a known allergy to ketorolac or any other ingredient in the product. Caution is needed because Acuvail may delay healing, cause allergic reactions or cross-sensitivity, increase bleeding time by interfering with platelet clumping, and affect the cornea, including causing inflammation called keratitis.

Storage
