Bevespi

Before taking this medicine

Do not use Bevespi if you are allergic to glycopyrrolate, formoterol fumarate or any other ingredient. Bevespi is not indicated for asthma. In people with asthma, using a long-acting beta₂-agonist (LABA), such as formoterol, without an inhaled corticosteroid is contraindicated and increases the risk of serious asthma-related events. Do not start Bevespi during rapidly worsening COPD or use it to treat sudden symptoms. Do not use it with another LABA-containing medicine because of the risk of overdose. Use requires caution if you have heart or blood vessel disease, narrow-angle glaucoma, difficulty emptying your bladder, an enlarged prostate, bladder-neck obstruction, a seizure disorder, an overactive thyroid, diabetes or ketoacidosis. Bevespi may worsen narrow-angle glaucoma or urinary retention; contact a doctor immediately if symptoms occur. Low blood potassium and high blood sugar may also occur. If you have severe kidney impairment, use should be considered only when the potential benefit outweighs the risk. If Bevespi causes sudden worsening of breathing due to airway tightening, stop using it and seek medical advice for an alternative treatment.
