About Dovobet Ointment
What it treats
Plaque psoriasis of the scalp in patients aged 12 years and older. Plaque psoriasis of the scalp and body in adults aged 18 years and older.
Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects include inflammation around hair follicles (folliculitis) and a burning sensation on the skin. Serious side effects that warrant contacting a doctor include high calcium levels in the blood or urine, suppression of the body’s natural steroid hormone production, and an increased risk of cataracts and glaucoma. Reduced steroid hormone production can lead to insufficient steroid hormone levels during treatment or after stopping. Contact a doctor if you notice changes in your vision.
