About Incruse
Overview
Incruse is an inhaler containing umeclidinium, a long-acting anticholinergic medicine. It is used for the maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by blocking signals that cause muscles around the airways to tighten, helping the airways open.

Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects include inflammation of the nose and throat, upper respiratory tract infections, cough and joint pain. Serious side effects include sudden worsening of breathing due to tightening of the airways (paradoxical bronchospasm), worsening narrow-angle glaucoma and worsening difficulty emptying the bladder (urinary retention). Contact a healthcare professional immediately if these occur. If sudden airway tightening occurs, stop using Incruse and seek medical care for alternative treatment.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.
Before taking this medicine
Do not use Incruse if you have a severe allergy to milk proteins or are allergic to umeclidinium or any other ingredient. Do not start Incruse during an acute worsening of COPD. It must not be used to treat sudden symptoms. Use with caution if you have narrow-angle glaucoma, difficulty emptying your bladder, an enlarged prostate or a blockage at the bladder outlet. Incruse may worsen narrow-angle glaucoma or urinary retention. Contact a healthcare provider immediately if symptoms occur. If breathing suddenly worsens immediately after inhalation (paradoxical bronchospasm), stop using Incruse and seek medical attention for alternative treatment.
Interactions
Incruse may add to the effects of other anticholinergic medicines. Avoid using Incruse with other medicines containing anticholinergics. Tell your doctor if you use any of these medicines.

Storage
Store below 25°C away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not pierce or burn the device, even when it is empty. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
