About Patanol
Overview
Patanol is an eye drop medicine containing olopatadine. It is used to treat the signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, an allergic reaction affecting the eyes. It works by blocking the action of histamine and limiting its release from mast cells.

Side effects
Headache was the most frequently reported side effect, occurring in 7% of patients. Other side effects reported in fewer than 5% of patients included weakness, blurred vision, burning or stinging, cold-like symptoms, dry eyes, a feeling of something in the eye, eye redness, nausea, sore throat, itching, nasal irritation, sinus inflammation and altered taste. Allergic reactions, inflammation of the cornea and eyelid swelling were also reported in fewer than 5% of patients.

Do not use Patanol if you have a known allergy to olopatadine hydrochloride or any of its ingredients.

Storage
Store below 25°C away from direct light. Once opened, follow the in-use period printed on the pack and do not let the dropper touch the eye or any surface. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
