About Ubrelvy
Overview
Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) is a prescription tablet used to treat migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. It blocks receptors for a substance called calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP). Ubrelvy is not used to prevent migraine.
What it treats
Ubrelvy is used to treat migraine attacks, with or without aura, in adults. It is not indicated for migraine prevention.
Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects of Ubrelvy include nausea and sleepiness. Serious side effects include severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and difficulty breathing. These can occur within minutes, hours or days after taking Ubrelvy. Stop taking Ubrelvy and seek emergency medical help if a serious allergic reaction occurs. Contact your doctor if you develop new or worsening high blood pressure or Raynaud’s phenomenon.
When to call your doctor
If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.
Before taking this medicine
Do not take Ubrelvy if you take a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor or have had a serious allergic reaction to ubrogepant or any of its ingredients. Avoid use if you have end-stage kidney disease. Serious allergic reactions can occur within minutes, hours or days after taking Ubrelvy. Stop taking it and seek immediate medical help if you develop trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat. Ubrelvy may cause new or worsening high blood pressure or Raynaud’s phenomenon. Tell your prescriber if you have either condition. If you are pregnant, discuss this with your prescriber; animal studies suggest Ubrelvy may harm the unborn baby.
Interactions
Tell your doctor about all medicines and supplements you take. Strong CYP3A4 inducers should be avoided with Ubrelvy because they reduce the amount of ubrogepant in the body. Moderate or weak CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers, and medicines that inhibit BCRP and/or P-gp only, may require your prescriber to adjust your dose.

Dosing
Dosing is set by your prescriber. Each health care professional may prescribe medication differently according to a patient's medical history and condition, so follow the directions on your prescription label and speak to your doctor or pharmacist before changing anything.
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, in the original pack, away from direct light and moisture. Do not keep it in a bathroom. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
